There are ancient towns with buildings predating the first kingdom (more then 3400 years ago), towns from the Semtalika period, some of the larger cities are from Medieval Hangkerim (Second Kingdom and First Republic), Yelamha Capital, KA^RU_TA/CE^NA\ was founded by the Spaniards by the name of Cartagena de Indias, then renamed by the Englishmen as New Cartagena, and there are some characteristisc of the Spanish settlement: the "plaza", were there was the Chathedral, the mayor's office and the home of the most prestigious people, and an almost perfect rectangular pattern. Karutacena is not the only Spanish shaped town. There are also towns founded on the English period by English coloners, with the church in the outer side of the town, besides the graveyard.
The traditional Hangkerim town is centered on a circular or oval space. Houses are built around. The central space is a meeting point, where in ancien times the adminsitrative desicions were discuted between the chief mayor and all the citizens that were interested. Now a days there are usually a place couples date or children plays, or music is performed... Houses were constructed equally, and were occupied by a family. When a new family were formed (after a marriage) they would build a house around in the outer circle or stay in the house of the parents of one of the families... this was specially true for the younger doughter.
Houses were build in stone or wood (or combination of both). In Modern Hangkerim the circular shape is still preserved but the building of new houses are done by building companies. Apartament buildings are common, and there are many specialized buildings: a Catholic church, some other christian churches and probably a synagoge are common in larger towns. A citihall, an stadium, schools, small stores and big malls are common buildings. Hangkerim religion does not have special meeting places, but in some cities there are temple like buildings reserved for some manifestations of the Hangkerim religion.
